What a way to spend the day

Dariush jan!!!

"Dayee" Dariush (translation: "uncle dariush")... what a guy! He was here just for a short while, but it was great hanging out with him... and also his brother too! And of course, one can't forget "Amu" Amir... but I see him a lot :) He's doing his year of service at the House of Worship, and papa is teaching him to design web sites... he loves me a lot.. and I love him!!

Matt and Melanie are cool :)

It was a short but sweet visit... they came to see the Baha'i House of Worship, so I took them there... I gave them the usual tour, ya know :) So sad to see them leave, ... Matt had cool red hair and Melanie was fun to play with!

Happy Birthday Grandma Jaleh!

Happy birthday to a great mother and grandmother, who always has so much love to give! A great cook and a great friend (who always makes me dresses and buys me toys) :) I love you!!!

CONGRATULATE ME!...

... and give your condolences to my parents. I am now officially a walker!!!!

Also!! New and Other Accomplishments:

I can climb stairs
I can climb furniture (ie couches, beds)
I can get down from furniture (feet first)
I can help mama dress me by putting my arms in the sleeves
I can try to put my shoes on my feet (and my socks... but not quite yet)
I can drink from a cup (since I was 10 months!)
I can try feeding myself with a spoon or fork
I laugh at things that are funny and when people do funny things
I get excited and scream when I see my friend Emilka
I can give kisses when asked (and I'm in the mood)
I can give the hand sign for milk
I can wave bye and say hi
I can dance Persian when I hear music by twisting my hands (I also shake my leg like Elvis if I'm standing and I hear good music)
I can take things out and put them back in something else
I can clap my hands when I get excited or happy or I've done something great
I can open a book and turn its pages looking and pointing at the pictures
I've gotten at least two molars and others are coming in
....

Sofia the Explorer

We went to the lake the other day to enjoy the beautiful weather. While mama and papa sat down being boring, I took off to explore this new terrain.

I loved the rough feel of the sand on my feet and hands, and I even found some interesting things! Shells and sticks and old candy wrappers and this really peculiar brown substance... I was about to give it the taste test, but then I saw mama running toward me almost about to have a heart attack... I never did find out what that was. But I tell you one thing, it smelled awful!!
After that incident, mama kept better watch of me and stood close by. I didn't mind, except when she was blocking my sun.

Oh so chubby
