Running into Emilka

The weather was so nice the other day... mama and I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. I dressed warm 'cause it was still a little chilly.

We ran into my neighbor Emilka when we were out. We chatted a little about the usual.. the weather, new foods we've tasted, the latest diaper designs... It was nice catching up with her.

This is a hat my auntie Shira made for me! Is it crooked? I try pulling it off sometimes, but mama tied it on tight this time. (I guess she knew I'd try to take it off! She's a smart one, that mommy of mine).

Happy Ayyam-i Ha!!!

Mama and I went to the Baha'i House of Worship where they had a children's party for Ayyam-i Ha. It was a lot of fun.. when they called all the children to the stage, mama put me on the floor and I quickly started crawling to get to the front with all the other rush of children! I guess I am still too small, so I couldn't go by myself.
The party was fun :) We sang songs, made tamborines with plastic eggs filled with rice, and even got little goody bags with candy and toys! I even made some new friends, and played with old friends too.

I think mama forgot to use the dryer sheet ...

Mawe visits

Papa's friend Mawe from Panama stopped by in Chicago on his way to Haifa for pilgrimage, and we got to hang out with him for a night. We met him at the Baha'i House of Worship in Wilmette and then later went out to dinner in the city along with some other friends! Man... I'm a party girl!
Mawe taught me this song about a hand (the manita song)... I liked it so much I tried to memorize the words to teach mama and papa later.
