Christmas in Bangalore!

We spent the holidays with good friends Chris from New Zealand and Rixt from the Netherlands. They surprised us with a Christmas tree, decorations and presents for me and even a yummy cake for us to enjoy! They are so thoughtful!

Happy Halloween people!

This year I decided to be original with my costume.... I knew all the other 2-year-olds would be the typical princesses... but me... I'm unique. I decided to be a butterfly... (mainly 'cause my grandma already made this butterfly costume for me) hehe :) Bahiyyeh came over and we headed out for halloween fun!

Bahiyyeh dressed as Princess Lea and Uncle Houshy.... well, he was Darth Vader (this is the third year in a row!) He's kinda crazy about Star Wars ... if that wasn't obvious enough.
We went hunting for pumpkins first...
Daddy got a kick out of Uncle Houshy's costume.

We made Uncle Darth hold our pumpkins..... 'cause... well, it just looked funny.
Then we went to the mall for trick-or-treating. But first we had some food.
We didn't get too much candy this year because the mall was CROWDED .... but we still had fun. Lots of children and their parents wanted to take pictures with Uncle Houshy... it was funny (and I think he liked the attention!)
At the end, we stopped by Grandma's work to say hi! She couldn't stop laughing!

New Year's with the family

We surprised my family in Virginia by flying in just for the New Year's weekend! Boy were they surprised!! We had a lovely time.. here are a few pics :)
Here's papa with Allan, Ralph's papa.

Grandma (or as I'd like to call her, Memaw) made me this beautiful dress! Here I am modeling it for the camera.

Everyone was playing games until the big count down.

Here I am with the man in my life... myyyyyy papa!

We surprised mama with a cake for her birthday and lots of presents! I think mama really loved it!

Halloweeeeeeeeen

We went to the mall this year for trick-or-treating 'cause it was just too cold outside. I got a lot of attention and one person told mama that I was the cutest little girl they had seen alllll night. I'll have to agree with her on that one ;) Have you guessed what I dressed up as this year??? That's right... Princess Lea. Costume courtesty of my absolute Star Wars fanatic uncle. Thanks! The wig kept my ears warm :)
Unfortunately for us, we were too slow and most of the candy the stores were giving out were mostly gone :( But I enjoyed the nice stroll around the mall and the few goodies I did get. Here is a picture of me enjoying the sugar rush. Mmmmm... it's like a party in my mouth!!

The big disappointment of the night?? ... the purple crayon DOESN'T taste like grape.

Happy Ayyam-i Ha!!!

Mama and I went to the Baha'i House of Worship where they had a children's party for Ayyam-i Ha. It was a lot of fun.. when they called all the children to the stage, mama put me on the floor and I quickly started crawling to get to the front with all the other rush of children! I guess I am still too small, so I couldn't go by myself.
The party was fun :) We sang songs, made tamborines with plastic eggs filled with rice, and even got little goody bags with candy and toys! I even made some new friends, and played with old friends too.

Halloween Night!

I was a pumpkin for Halloween. Can you guess which one I am?!

I got a little hungry though while mom was taking all those pictures. Attack!

Now I have my bucket for candy... I'm all ready!

Daddy thought I was a cute "gordita" ...

My first time trick-or-treating!

We met other trick-or-treaters with cool costumes!

When we got home, I got to play with my candy ... but then I never saw it again :( (I think I saw mommy and daddy eating it while I wasn't looking!)

Pumpkin Carving

I socialized while mom and dad carved pumpkins! This is Pam Mondschein. I love playing with her whenever she's around!
It was daddy's first time carving a pumpkin!
