Until next time Chicago

So... too many things have been going on lately. Hardly enough time to sit down and rest, let alone find the time to blog. Sorry for the long wait for a new post guys! But here's a summary of the MANY things that have happened in the last month.

For those of you who haven't heard, we've decided to go to INDIA for a year!!! So off we go... packing up our things and leaving Chi-town. I'll be so sad to leave my friend Emilka and will definitely miss having the Baha'i temple so close and also the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. Mama and Papa say that when we go to India, maybe I can even ride an elephant!!!!!!! I'll keep you posted on how that goes ;) I even hear that cows roam freely on the streets and everywhere you go.... hmmm... does that mean I can't have steak when I'm there???

Below are some pictures I took of our move and saying goodbye to good friends.

We went for one last time to my favorite pasta place to eat... here are the remnants of my delicious meal!
We also went to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio in Oak Park... this picture is of the front of his first house he built for him and his new bride. Here are mommy and me being silly because we just took SO MANY pictures that we were a bit tired :) (and also we're both a bit of a poser..hehehe)
I took this picture myself of mama and papa inside the Frank Lloyd Write bookstore... aren't I getting good!!
Our last feast... with two LOVELY women!
Another lovely person... Anne... she was so sweet to me... even gave me a finger puppet as a going away gift!
Here are my two best friends in my community... Monica and Alyssa... I LOVED playing with them at Baha'i school and whenever we went to feast. What a couple of cool gals!

And of course I hung out A LOT with my best friend Emilka... here we are enjoying a big hug at the playground.I tried to take pictures of our progress in selling our furniture..... and the total chaos of our apartment the last few weeks....
Here's the tree outside our living room window...
Mama paying bills online....
Papa taking a nap in the bedroom...

We also got to visit my friend Minu and her parents. We get along so well .. and LOVE playing games together. I'll miss her! But who knows, maybe I'll see her in India when they come to visit!
The highlight of August... riding my first pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so brave! I had to hold mama's hand at first but quickly gained confidence and told mama I could do it all by myself... :)
We got to see many friends and family at the Baha'i Persian Conference. Here we are with Yasmine... a great friend of the 'rents from Haifa.
Here I am enjoying ice cream with grandpa.....

...and of course grandpa had to show me off to all his friends :)

The night before we moved out of our apartment we had dinner with Emilka and her parents. We had SO much fun! We're going to miss you guys soooo much!!!!
Then the night before mama and I left to go to Virginia we stayed in a nice hotel and even ordered room service! Of course I had to get the pizza... yum!
... I relaxed from the stressful move by taking a warm bath....
... and then we hit the sack early since our flight was at 5:30 in the morning!!!

You've grown so beautifully, hope you don't get married there in India and then spoil the plans of hanging out with your cousin Ela as two single beautiful girls ;o)
