Wow! What IS that?!

While mama and I were going out for a walk around the neighborhood, we came upon this!! It popped up soon after a major storm.

I wanted to take a closer look...

afterwards, we stopped by Charlie's Coffee House ... mama took out the camera... I posed as usual =)

But then I wanted to try it myself... "give me the camera mamaaaaa!!"

A Hale Storm in October?

Last week or so, nature threw us a surprise. What seemed to be just a bad thunderstorm, quickly developed into a monstrous sounding hale storm! It got SO LOUD, mama was freightened and almost pulled out the emergency red cross bag with supplies that'll keep you alive for weeks! She's a bit of a drama queen though, that mama of mine =) Papa, on the other hand, got so excited and even took the camera AND WENT OUTSIDE while the almost golfball-sized hale was still thundering down. It was hitting the cars so hard, we were sure it was going to leave dents! Here are some pics that papa took.



I kept my cool though ... and tried distracting myself by watching good 'ol Elmo! lalalala.. elmoooo's world....

Happy Birthday Tia Gianni!!!!

Today is a very special day... it's tia Gianni's birthday! We love her so much and are so grateful to have her in our lives. Her warmth and love and loyal friendship is priceless and we cherish it so much! Words aren't enough... truly... Her wit, her charm, her love and laughter, her humanitarian nature, her intelligence are only a few things that we admire so much about her. We love you tia and hope today, and every day, is filled with love and laughter. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trip to a Hindu temple

A little while ago, we went to visit a Hindu temple with our friend Kamuni and her family. It was our first time! We were so amazed by the beauty of the temple and really enjoyed learning more about the Hindu faith and how the people worship. Here are some photos from our time there. We couldn't take any photos inside, but trust me, it was sooooo beautiful :)
This is Kamuni and her daughter Minu. She's 3 years old. We became really good friends, and even though she doesn't talk much and I talk my own Sofi-language, we were still able to understand each other and have a lot of fun! On the car ride there, we were playing peek-a-boo with the same blanket we found in the back seat :)
Papa enjoyed going there too, since he's an architecture buff. He was impressed. Doesn't he look handsome here?!
I took some time to reflect on the meaning of life...


... and the meaning of "do not enter".... hmmmm....

... I guess it DIDN'T mean, come jump in the small fountain pool because mama screamed NO! when I got ready to jump in...
