Arenal Volcanoe

We were able to go to the famous Arenal volcanoe on this trip... and even stay at an observatory REALLY close!!! It was so much fun! They even had a nice pool for me to play in. Our bedroom was amazing! Our beds faced the window which had a spectacular view of the volcanoe. And at night we would turn off the lights and just watch the hot lava pour down the side of the volcanoe.

First stop... Langosta Beach

Greeted by the president!

So our plane couldn't fly into San Jose as planned because of the weather, so instead we landed on the Pacific side of Costa Rica. Lucky for us we were planning on taking Justin and Zach to the beaches anyway so it saved us a lot of time and money!! Here we are in the very tiny airport in Liberia... so tiny that at 12 in the morning they had to call all the employees from their homes to come help the mass of incoming people through customs and immigration.
We stayed at a very small but nice hotel for the night and in the morning when we went for breakfast, who was there to greet us but the president of Costa Rica himself!!!! Wow, I wonder who spilled to the press where I was staying ;)

Costa Rica here we come!!

Here we go on another adventure! This time to visit my papa's homeland Costa Rica!!! Can't wait to visit my family and play with my cousins!
I got a little bored and stole the camera from mama's bag... here's a picture I took of my shoe.
Papa let me look out the window and watch the clouds and people and buildings down below get smaller and smaller.

We had a 4 hour delay in Atlanta so we decided to explore! It was papa and my first time in Atlanta, Georgia!!

Lucky for us there was a really cool aquarium, so of course we had to go. I LOVE LOVE LOVED it!!! Look at that penguin go!
And the beluga whales sure did put on a show for everyone!
After the aquarium and exploring a little more the city, it was time to head back to the airport. We met our friends Justin and Zach there who were joining us on our trip.
