One Week and Counting

We have been here exactly one week now, but it feels like so much longer! Maybe it's just me, but the days here are sooooo long. Probably because we wake up so early in the morning these days... it's amazing how much you can get done if you wake up at 6:30 in the morning. Since I've always slept in 'til 9:30 or even 10:00 in the mornings, 6:30 is a big shift! (and can you believe I don't even take naps now!) I think it's great... but mama... not so much.

We start off our mornings with a "family time" breakfast :) and talk about our day to come. Then I kiss daddy goodbye as I see him off to work and reassure him that the other kids will love him at work and he'll make friends fast. Next I take a shower and get dressed and ready for the day. Mama and I have "class" time where I have been practicing my manipulation of puzzle pieces and learning my colors and numbers. After that we take a walk to the playground where I try to meet up with my new friend Eisha and also meet other new friends too. I learned that Eisha is attending the Montessori school that is located right next to the playground! I can't wait to go just like her and have gone back to visit a couple more times to get better acquainted with the school. I never want to leave, and I must admit I have shed a tear or two when mama says it's time to leave. I'm comforted, however, by the knowledge that mama and papa are going to enroll me so I can join the other students too!!!! I start January 3rd since the school is closed for a couple weeks this month. I can't wait!!!

I have been talking a lot more these days and often surprise mama and papa with new words and phrases. A while back I put together my knowledge of the word "spicy" in a new sentence that for some reason made mama laugh hysterically! She was washing my .. ehem... behind one time and when I thought it was getting a little sensitive I said to her "Mama, my colito is spicy!" (Colito meaning "behind" in Spanish)

I apologize for not posting more pictures. Unfortunately for some days we couldn't use our camera because the battery ran out and since we didn't have a converter, we had no way of recharging the battery. Luckily today papa found an electronics place and bought a nice one. We'll work on taking some pictures and will post them soon... hopefully :)

Namaste India

We arrived in Bangalore, India not too long ago and are still trying to adjust to the new time zone and our new surroundings. We are all pretty happy to be here and have been meeting really nice people! Our plane ride went really well and the last leg of our journey somehow we got to sit in the business class section!!! Boy were we happy! Papa and I slept the whole 9 and a half hours on that plane. Mama rested a little too, but she was just too excited to be in the business class section for the first time in her life! We were all so comfy and it made our journey that much easier!

We live within walking distance of papa's work so he comes home often for breaks. And since we live in a gated community, they offer all kinds of things like a gym, tennis court, two restaurants, schools, a BIG pool, and nice playground for meeeeeee!!! Already mama and papa are talking about putting me in the montessori school here starting January! I'm really excited and when we went to visit the school, I met some really friendly children my age and saw all the fun things they get to do! I even cried when mama said it was time to go home. I can't wait 'til January! Mama says I have to be potty trained before then so I'm making a special effort to "hold it in". An unusual concept, but I'll manage.

Video update

So, I realize I haven't put up any videos in a while... thought this would be a good time.. ya know, between watching Hercules the movie and eating pasta for dinner. Enjoy! And tell me what you think. I included one of my little cousin 'cause she's just too cute!


I've watched this video so many times I can sing along to it and even copy the dance moves! I'm one step away from hitting "the big time"! Hollywood here I come!

Mama always tells me that when food falls on the floor when we're outside that we should leave it there for the birdies... well, I didn't take that lightly when one day I was outside enjoying my delicious vanilla cookies and one happened to fall down. Nearby, to my great dismay, were a gang of birds .. and they were eying my cookie and headed straight for it, I could tell. Well, what happens after that realization isn't pretty folks. This video isn't for the faint of heart... beware.

Happy Halloween people!

This year I decided to be original with my costume.... I knew all the other 2-year-olds would be the typical princesses... but me... I'm unique. I decided to be a butterfly... (mainly 'cause my grandma already made this butterfly costume for me) hehe :) Bahiyyeh came over and we headed out for halloween fun!

Bahiyyeh dressed as Princess Lea and Uncle Houshy.... well, he was Darth Vader (this is the third year in a row!) He's kinda crazy about Star Wars ... if that wasn't obvious enough.
We went hunting for pumpkins first...

We made Uncle Darth hold our pumpkins..... 'cause... well, it just looked funny.
Then we went to the mall for trick-or-treating. But first we had some food.
We didn't get too much candy this year because the mall was CROWDED .... but we still had fun. Lots of children and their parents wanted to take pictures with Uncle Houshy... it was funny (and I think he liked the attention!)
At the end, we stopped by Grandma's work to say hi! She couldn't stop laughing!
