And then it was back on the airplane for us... I got cozy with my iPod and watched the Little Mermaid.

Costa Rica part II
I got to meet Sasha in person... I've only known her so far mostly from her photos on her blog. Boy, did I love her! I was always asking mama and papa when I could play with her again and we had a great time together. Here we are playing with baby Ela.

We played a lot! She loved my pink sparkley shoes... I practiced sharing and always let her put them on (mama was so proud of me!). But it wasn't that hard for me 'cause I really like Sasha and she's nice with me.
Here's Tia Gianni with baby Ela :) Ela's grown so much since last time we saw her! Mama said I was cute and chubby just like Ela when I was a baby!

I even got to play with my Abuelo (grandpa) and cousin Joan at the mall....

The morning before we had to leave for the airport we enjoyed a nice Costa Rican breakfast and coffee at a cafe.
I tried to get in as much "play time" with Sasha as I could before we left!

Vamos a Costa Rica!
So here we go again.... travelling AGAIN :) We've travelled so much.. I'm becoming a pro at this airport, security, taking off my shoes, waiting and waiting thing. After so many flights I've learned that a good book is invaluable during a long flight. Here I am waiting at the airport and enjoying my cookies and Richard Scarry book. This is the life! Pura Vida!!! (that's a Costa Rican saying meaning "pure life"... and boy is it!)

We met our good friend Jeffrey at the airport in San Jose... I haven't seen him in a year! Luckily we were able to spend the whole week with him. He's so nice with me :)
We got together with family... here I am with my uncle Ahmed and cousin Joan playing caballito (horsie).
Here we are .... the three amigos!

Visiting Auntie Shira
Recently my mama got a chance to spend some time with her bestest friend in the world, Shira... we just happened to be in the same area together for almost a week and they sure did take advantage of their time together! The first night Shira came into town from New York we had some yummy Vietnamese food called Pho with her really friendly parents Riva and Peter... boy, were they nice!
After dinner we headed back to their place... Shira's parents bought a house a few years back and they worked really hard renovating it! We couldn't believe how beautiful it turned out!!! Here we are in their Martha Stewart-esque kitchen. Mama and papa were drooling...
Peter read me a nice story...
... I bounced on Riva's exercise ball... hehehe.. weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!
Mama also got to spend some "girly" time with Shira and another friend... they went shopping had coffee and mama even got her ears re-pierced! I didn't see it get done though... I was spending quality time with papa :)
Mama and Auntie Shira joke that whenever they get together they take pictures together in different coffee shops... I think they already have a few (so I've heard) :-D

Until next time Chicago
So... too many things have been going on lately. Hardly enough time to sit down and rest, let alone find the time to blog. Sorry for the long wait for a new post guys! But here's a summary of the MANY things that have happened in the last month.
For those of you who haven't heard, we've decided to go to INDIA for a year!!! So off we go... packing up our things and leaving Chi-town. I'll be so sad to leave my friend Emilka and will definitely miss having the Baha'i temple so close and also the beautiful beaches of Lake Michigan. Mama and Papa say that when we go to India, maybe I can even ride an elephant!!!!!!! I'll keep you posted on how that goes ;) I even hear that cows roam freely on the streets and everywhere you go.... hmmm... does that mean I can't have steak when I'm there???
Below are some pictures I took of our move and saying goodbye to good friends.

We went for one last time to my favorite pasta place to eat... here are the remnants of my delicious meal!
We also went to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio in Oak Park... this picture is of the front of his first house he built for him and his new bride. Here are mommy and me being silly because we just took SO MANY pictures that we were a bit tired :) (and also we're both a bit of a poser..hehehe)
I took this picture myself of mama and papa inside the Frank Lloyd Write bookstore... aren't I getting good!!
Our last feast... with two LOVELY women!
Another lovely person... Anne... she was so sweet to me... even gave me a finger puppet as a going away gift!
Here are my two best friends in my community... Monica and Alyssa... I LOVED playing with them at Baha'i school and whenever we went to feast. What a couple of cool gals!

And of course I hung out A LOT with my best friend Emilka... here we are enjoying a big hug at the playground.
I tried to take pictures of our progress in selling our furniture..... and the total chaos of our apartment the last few weeks....
Here's the tree outside our living room window...
Mama paying bills online....
Papa taking a nap in the bedroom...

We also got to visit my friend Minu and her parents. We get along so well .. and LOVE playing games together. I'll miss her! But who knows, maybe I'll see her in India when they come to visit!
The highlight of August... riding my first pony!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was so brave! I had to hold mama's hand at first but quickly gained confidence and told mama I could do it all by myself... :)
We got to see many friends and family at the Baha'i Persian Conference. Here we are with Yasmine... a great friend of the 'rents from Haifa.
Here I am enjoying ice cream with grandpa.....

...and of course grandpa had to show me off to all his friends :)

The night before we moved out of our apartment we had dinner with Emilka and her parents. We had SO much fun! We're going to miss you guys soooo much!!!!
Then the night before mama and I left to go to Virginia we stayed in a nice hotel and even ordered room service! Of course I had to get the pizza... yum!
... I relaxed from the stressful move by taking a warm bath....
... and then we hit the sack early since our flight was at 5:30 in the morning!!!
